With the holidays coming up, it can be difficult to feel safe around food. This will be our second Thanksgiving with preparing everything gluten free. Dana and I typically host Thanksgiving at our house and prepare all of the food. Now, with the need to prepare everything gluten free, it makes things a little more safe as we know what to make and can prevent cross contamination as we do not have any gluten in the house. Looking for the right food and trying to read labels can get overwhelming if you are preparing for a large group. It may also be difficult to find foods that taste great too! When making our Thanksgiving dinner last year, we had both of our families over and nobody could tell the dinner was gluten free!
To make things a little easier, I wanted to give some suggestions to make the transition easier for a gluten free Thanksgiving.

Dana and I wanted to make a delicious fall treat to each take to work and share with those we work with. What better way to do that than with apples and chocolate?!?! They are easy to make, once you get past the cutting and drying off the apple slices part. They were also fun to add toppings to and see what different varieties we could make!
When I put these out at work, they were a big hit! Most of which, were gone before lunch. I received a ton of comments back from everyone about how much they loved them. Some saying they were “to die for”.

These muffins are gluten free and highly addictive! They have a sweet glaze over top. The recipe makes about 70-75 mini muffins. We make these and then after they cool, bag them in sets of 5 and freeze them. They are perfect to pull out the night before and eat the next day! If you haven’t already, check out our Gluten Free Poppy Seed Muffin Minis as well!

One of Dana’s employees made poppy seed muffins to share with everyone. Unfortunately, they contained gluten and she was unable to try them. I wanted to make a gluten free version, and I am excited that these taste exactly the same!! I love lemon poppy seed muffins and at first was unsure if I would like them since they aren’t lemon. They are amazing to say the least! These muffins are a poppy seed muffin with a sweet orange glaze over top. They are super easy to make and I had to buy very minimal ingredients from what I had at home.

Puppy chow is delicious, can be made into a lot of different varieties, and most ingredients in it are already gluten free! I like mine to have a bit more chocolate coating on it, and LOVE the chunks where they are stuck together (if you have ever made puppy chow, you know exactly what I am talking about).

We love having pork chops for dinner as one of our main dishes. At times though, it is nice to have a breading of some kind for the pork chops. This can be a challenge when trying to do gluten free. There is always the option of gluten free bread crumbs, but this time, we thought about changing it up and using fried onions!

If you love Lucky Charms and you love chocolate, then you will love this! It’s a perfect treat for any party, or school function. Everything in this is gluten free, as long as you make sure to use gluten free pretzels and chocolate. Lucky charms thankfully, are already gluten free! Dana makes this for her employees every once in a while, and they are always asking when she is going to make it again. It is a huge hit and everyone enjoys it!
